Jon -The ordinary people demand the government to declare an emergency. Rose Abramoff, one of the 5 courageous people that locked themselves to the gates of the White House tries to encourage other scientist and member of the public to step up take resistance action against the governments that are OK with murdering the generation and next 10 thousand generation after that. (Update April 8th, 2022. )

Scientist Rebellion is a growing group of scientists and academics who believe they should expose the reality and severity of the climate and ecological emergency by engaging in nonviolent civil disobedience. Dr. Abramoff warns that “we have not made the changes necessary to limit warming to 1.5°C, rendering this goal effectively impossible.

Linda Edwards- Dr. Rose Abramoff, US climate change scientist with Scientist Rebellion, was also arrested yesterday after chaining herself to the White House gate. Rose explains her sacrifice:
"Scientists are acting under the slogan “1.5°C is dead, climate revolution now!”. Scientist Rebellion is a growing group of scientists and academics who believe they should expose the reality and severity of the climate and ecological emergency by engaging in nonviolent civil disobedience. Dr Abramoff warns that “we have not made the changes necessary to limit warming to 1.5°C, rendering this goal effectively impossible. We need to both understand the consequences of our inaction as well as limit fossil fuel emissions as much and as quickly as possible. As scientists, we tend to be risk-averse. We don’t want to risk our jobs, our reputations, and our time. But it is no longer sufficient to do our research and expect others to read our publications and understand the severity and urgency of the climate crisis.” … “Let’s make this crisis impossible to ignore.”
Kacy Suther, a Declare Emergency supporter from Charlotte, North Carolina, was one of 5 women arrested yesterday after chaining themselves to the gate of the White House. Kacy explains why:
"I’m participating in non-violent resistance today because, as scientists have warned, we are on a dire trajectory toward an unlivable planet. I cannot accept the harm the so-called leaders are causing by not doing what they know needs to be done to curtail climate breakdown. We need radical action now. I can’t just sit around and wait for that to happen anymore."
